Serving size is large, the shakes made with real ice cream and hot dogs in unique combinations, you might have a difficult time deciding what to order. Fried mushrooms? Fried zucchini? “ I had been told by a close friend of mine that Money Pit was like a better version of In n Out, and honestly im not much of a fan of In n Out at all but im always down to try new things! This place EXCEEDED my expectations ten-fold, the restaurant itself is has a very nice and unique vibe to it but still feels very chill to sit down in an almost diner-esque style atmosphere. The burgers are solid, I myself got the mushroom cheese burger with bacon and the chili cheese fries. The burger was amazing! Super flavorful and the flavors blended together perfectly. Nothing stood out too much and i ordered ranch on the side to pour on top and the ranch is also great. My wife got the 3x3 w/ lettuce wrap and extra veggies on the side and she loved it too! The chili cheese fries were delicious, personally i would have liked more cheese and for the cheese to be melted a little better but im not complaining at all. The chili was great as well. I ordered a Vanilla Strawberry mixed shake and the strawberry ice cream they used tasted so fresh instead of just any regular strawberry ice cream. It was like they had thrown fresh strawberries in the mix. The service was solid, all the guys working there at the time seemed super chill and they were all very nice and respectful. Overall definitely going back it was a hit w/ the family. ”

“ Money Pit is a San Marcos FAVORITE for me! My friends and I love going here. I have exclusively gotten the cheeseburger combo, and my friends rave about the cheeseburger avocado combo (includes fries, ranch, and a drink) and the fried veggeis. If you don't get a combo with anything on your meal, the homemade ranch is a must need addition (if you like ranch, of course). Their prices are fantastic for the amount of food you get and honestly I find myself here more than the In-N-Out in the area, it feels less greasy and again the prices are fairer. They tend to start cleaning up a couple hours before closing, but don't let that stop you from coming in! There are a lot of tables still open on one side of the restaurant. I feel like every time I'm in Money Pit I find a new decoration, which makes this place super family friendly and just a fun memory to be at with friends. Highly recommend for a burger fix. ”

“ Well if you want fried food this is the place. Fries - Onion Rings - Fried Zucchini, Fried Mushrooms. Try them all in a sampler. Amazing. Excellent burgers. I wasn't so hot on the fish sandwich, but hey, you can't beat this greasy spoon with a great vibe for price and did I mention fried food! ”
